Can I replace my regular long distance provider?
Yes, you can. Orbitfone’s Broadband Phone service, PC-to-Phone, My Phone Number and virtual Calling Card services can be used in place of a regular long distance provider. However, Orbitfone does not offer 911 emergency response services. This service will be enabled soon.
Do you offer monthly plans?
No, we do not. All our services are offered on Pay as you go basis. With that way, you are not tied to monthly commitments and you pay only for the minutes you talk.
How is the cost of a call calculated?
You are charged on per second basis, hence we DO NOT round your call to 60 seconds. For example, if your call lasted 46 seconds you will be charged for 46 seconds only and we will not round your call to the next minute.
How do I ad funds to my account?
Go at the “ Recharge now “ link and then follow the steps. You will be asked for your username and password as well as you credit card details. You can choose increments of $15, $20, $25, $30, $50.
What are the system requirements for PC to Phone?
System requirements are:
- 266 MHz PC or higher (400 MHz recommended, not available with Macintosh).
- Minimum of 32MB of RAM (64MB recommended).
- Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP.
- Windows-compatible full duplex sound card.
- Microphone and speakers, or head/handset.
- Internet TCP/IP connection.
- Connection speed of 33.6 Kbps (64 Kbps is recommend for improved sound quality).
Can I receive calls on my pc to phone ?
Basic pc to phone service allows only outbound calls. If you want to receive calls you must sign up for a DID number. (US or International )
Is the Pc to Phone software ad free?
Of course it is ad free. Pc to Phone has nothing to do with instant messaging or file sharing. It can only used to make phone calls.
Can I use my account from anywhere in the world?
Absolutely you can. You can download the dialer on your computer and you can make calls from any place as long as you are connected on the internet. Also, if you sign up for a DID number, e.g New York City number, you can be accessible on this number since it will ring on your computer.
Do you offer DID numbers?
Yes we do offer. DID numbers are available in the US and Europe. Businesses can also sign up for a 1-800 number.
How do I register a new account?
Simply go to Sign up and then follow the steps. Feel free to add a DID number or enable auto recharge option for funding your account.
How should I dial, using my Broadband Phone or Pc to Phone service?
Simply use the following format:
Country Code ( without 0 ) + Area Code + Local number + #
EXAMPLE: 12125553456# (to US)
How do I activate my phone adapter?
All the information needed to perform that action can be fount at member’s area after you log into your account. Feel free to contact customer support for additional information.
How do I download and install PC-to-Phone?

What are the rates using Orbitfone telephony?

Do I need to purchase any accessories to use the Broadband Phone Service?
All that you need for the Boadband phone service is a Broadband connection, a Broadband Phone adaptor, and an analogue phone. The analogue phone will connect to your Broadband Phone adaptor, which will connect to your internet connection.
Do I need to purchase any accessories to use the Pc to Phone service?
You simply need a good quality headset or a USB VOIP phone.
Can I call to any destination in the world?
Yes you can. You can call anywhere in the world including fixed, mobile and US toll free numbers.
Do I need my computer running to receive calls?
When using the pc-to-phone application, your computer should be open in order to receive incoming calls. However, with the Broadband Phone service, incoming calls will ring on your Broadband phone adaptor directly. Unanswered calls will be directed to your Voicemail.
How do I login to the PC-to-Phone?
- Download dialer.
- Open the PC-to-Phone dialer.
- Enter your 8-digit UserID.
- Enter your 4-digit Password.
- Click Login.

What is SIP?
Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) is an Internet Standard used for initiating interactive user sessions such as voice transmission and chatting. SIP can establish Internet telephony calls, it makes it possible for users to initiate and receive calls from any location and for networks to identify the users where ever they are in the world.
From which countries can I use my calling card and do same rates apply?
You can use your calling card from any of the listed countries using local toll free number. Same low rates are applicable.
